WHAT A DAY. Oh, I can't believe how lovely Owen and Jaime's wedding day was. It felt like August in October. It was hot, and the fall foliage was beautiful—props to the wedding party for keeping everyone upbeat and excited to be outside for portraits. Blindly bright sunlight made for great light while overlooking the North Saskatchewan River and Downtown Edmonton. Kinnaird Park is one of my favorite places to bring wedding parties; it has a perfect view of the city and tree tunnels to explore. After gathering a variety of portraits outdoors, the wedding party headed to Plaza Bowling to cool down with a few jugs of beer, and Owen surprised Jaime with personalized bowling balls in her favorite color to use during their bowling league. A unique gift and reminder of your special day that she can use time and time again.
Before entering the reception, we gathered outside to pop champagne and smoke cigars. These are some of my favorite portraits of the day, and it captures the lighthearted energy of their crew well. The rest of the evening was filled with heartfelt speeches and a fantastic party. Congratulations, Owen, Jaime, and Leo (the cutest pup ever!), on the exciting new adventure of marriage; you're the best!
